LANDSCAPE / MIRRORING / LIGHT

Looking up changes the landscape

Trees, water and sky are mirrored and layered. Human outlines enter the images and become difficult to separate from their surroundings. A cut edge interrupts the forest. The image can turn the canopy toward the ground, a root into a branch, a branch into a joint.

A mirrored image-field of water, reflection and fracture — signal drawn out of a landscape
A thick acrylic image-object — a forest folded into pigment, edge and depth
Two mirrored panels facing each other in a gallery — a field of return between them
An electric green mirrored forest — pressure, pulse and voltage held in a single image

Roots become branches when the image turns

About this work

FLUX is shown here as a moving-image simulation of a possible LED presentation: the looping film on a large LED screen within an exhibition or public setting.

A square work seen from below — bare branches, sky and fractured mirror-planes opening upward
Two mirrored canopy-works installed side by side on a white wall — winter light and green light answering each other

Winter light and a green canopy place different seasons side by side.
